Kate Tallent Design (KTD) redesigned the web site for the Citizen Base Initiative (CBI) of Ashoka. The site needed to be part of the Ashoka family in terms of look and feel to maintain brand congruity, and yet have a personality of its own. The result is a vibrant site with Javascript images that change on the home page. The site was launched in April 2007. Co-op Tools of Toronto implemented Drupal technology as the content management system, which allows CBI staff to easily update text and images.
The mission of the Citizen Base Initiative is to shift the way the sector mobilizes resources, from reliance on a small group of international and governmental funders to a diversified base of local support. The key to this objective is communicating concrete examples of organizations that are developing innovative strategies for mobilizing local resources: individual and institutional, private and public. KTD is pleased to assist in the communication of these very worthwhile endeavors.
