When you work with us, you will be working with a team of dedicated professionals who follow a process for print and web projects.
Web Process
Step 1 • Kickoff meeting in person.
KTD is committed to learning about you, your organization, your mission, your objectives and your goals. Having established this understanding, we can specifically define your needs.
Step 2: Information Architecture & Wireframes.
To ensure the success of the web site’s design, the first step is to review the content planned for the new site and develop an information architecture that will present content in a meaningful and intuitive structure. KTD will work closely with the client and the writer to create the IA documents. This document will define the main menu buttons, identify where content areas will live, define members-only content and highlight items that will require feature space on the homepage. Client will have up to two revisions of the information architecture document.
Step 3 • Design of two concepts.
Concepts are presented via KTD's client login portal. Two concepts are presented. Each concept consists of home page and one archetypal subpage based on an approved site architecture.
The following items to be supplied by the client:
Also note:
Step 3 • Finalize design direction once concept is selected.
Client to approve orally or by email that concept is approved and that development may begin.
Step 4 • HTML & Graphics Production.
Convert final designs into working HTML templates. KTD will provide two sets of revisions on the HTML templates. Once the templates are approved, KTD will build out the site in flat HTML.
Step 5 • Content Management System & Implementation (if applicable)
KTD will integrate a content management system into the new design templates. The content management system is a content editing tool that will allow client to update text and graphical content for all pages on the site without requiring knowledge of HTML or FTP technologies.
KTD can also create Event Calendars, Event Registration, News and Press Releases, Video Oral History Interviews, Members-Only Section, Guest Book, Site-Wide Search, Members Online, Chat Room Forum, Staff Administration and Maintenance & Support and more.
Step 6 • Launch of site
