Brian's experience with the Web dates to its earliest days when he managed online information tools for MCI Telecommunications. As the Web evolved so did his experience, from creating an award-winning Internet Marketing program for Telogy Networks Inc., to creating and managing a portal and an (also award winning) email newsletter for Texas Instruments, to originating and managing TI's search Engine Marketing (SEM) program. Brian is expert at improving “findability” on the web and then implementing conversion-based metrics to measure it.
His experience includes projects improving onsite search functionality to initiating TI's first paid search advertising campaign and managing that program's evolution to multi-million-dollar status. Brian was also responsible for driving TI's organic search engine optimization (SEO), a program he first launched at Telogy in 1998. Under his leadership many TI core terms appeared on Google's first page for the first time. In 2009, TI's SEO share achieved 14% YoY growth in an ultra-competitive environment where most competitors lost share, and numerous sets of long-tail terms registered findability increases from 72% to 515%.
