KTD is pleased to announce Brian Alpert as our new Internet Marketing Strategist. Brian's experience w ith the Web dates to its earliest days when he managed online information tools for MCI Telecommunications. As the Web evolved so did his experience, from creating an award-winning Internet Marketing program for Telogy Networks Inc., to creating and managing a portal and an (also award winning) email newsletter for Texas Instruments, to originating and managing TI's search Engine Marketing (SEM) program. Brian is expert at improving “findability” on the web and then implementing conversion-based metrics to measure it. When Brian’s not dreaming about Google PageRank, writing the perfect browser title tag or walking his dog, he plays drums for some of the top jazz bands in the DC area. A recent gig even landed him at The White House!

MARCH 2009:

KTD volunteers at The Big Draw.

The Campaign for Drawing's aim is simple: to get everyone drawing. The Campaign's annual showpiece, "The Big Draw," proves that drawing can be a public activity as well as a private passion — and this year, KTD joined in.

"The Big Draw" started in Britain as a campaign to get people of all ages across the country to draw. The first "Big Draw” event in the United States took place in 2007, at the National Building Museum. There were many events for children and families. Children could have their faces painted or have a drawing lesson from art educators.

On March 5, KTD took up the cause as well. Staff visited North Chevy Chase Elementary School and taught kids to use a graphic design station.
